It is a perennial argument between owners of both types of transport, but here, yet again, we look at the pros and cons of both vehicles!

For a start there is a lot more room in a car. There’s no denying that the comfort levels are far greater in a car, and even the Honda Gullwing doesn’t come close to matching the luxuries of even the most basic modern family car. On top of that You will find a greater top speed in a car if you look right to the top of the tree in terms of road going vehicles, with the new 1100 plus BHP model of the Bugatti Veyron reaching a staggering 268mph!

This may seem like a pretty crazy scenario to you but I recently swapped my perfectly decent, albeit old car, for a five year old 650 bike. Before you say that I am mad, bear in mind that both are valued at approximately the same price, give or take a few hundred pounds. Ok, I might be losing out on as few hundred quid, but that is only initially.

What sets bikes and cars apart? They are both media of transport. Both of them broadly deliver the same services and yet, there are certain details which draw the line of difference between these two vehicles.

The engine oil used is one the main aspects of any motorized vehicle. The main differences between the engine oils used in motorcycles and cars are that the fuel in cars contains friction modifiers used to decrease the friction between the engine components and make the fuel more economic. But, a motorcycle contains the engine and the transmission machinery in one casing. Here, if a fuel with friction modifier is used, it will cause the wet clutch to slip, thereby increasing the chances of accidents.
