What sets bikes and cars apart? They are both media of transport. Both of them broadly deliver the same services and yet, there are certain details which draw the line of difference between these two vehicles.

The engine oil used is one the main aspects of any motorized vehicle. The main differences between the engine oils used in motorcycles and cars are that the fuel in cars contains friction modifiers used to decrease the friction between the engine components and make the fuel more economic. But, a motorcycle contains the engine and the transmission machinery in one casing. Here, if a fuel with friction modifier is used, it will cause the wet clutch to slip, thereby increasing the chances of accidents.

Nevertheless, motorcycle drivers are infamous for accident-prone, risky driving. Following what is proven by statistics, this blame on bikers seems to be justified. Out of 100,000 registered motorcycles, 64.88 vehicles faced fatal accidents while the number was limited to only 15.72 in case of cars. So, we see that bike accidents are nearly four times more deadly than car accidents. It is also seen that, a person riding a car is half as likely to be faced with an accident as a motorbike rider. But, some studies do show the reality of motorbike and car crashes. It has been seen that the drivers of cars barely notice motorcyclists on the road, thereby leading to accidents.

The last stated fact, however has no effect on the motorbike insurance companies. Even a motorcycle insurance company like Carole Nash, refrain from providing coverage to personal and passenger injuries to motorcycle owners. On the other hand, all these are covered in case of car insurances. The motorcycle drivers are also known to be subjected to certain injustice from the car insurance companies whose clients are at fault in an accident.
